The other 4 cameras all offer usable dynamic range around the 8.4 stop region (the Nikon D700 has a little more highlight range than the 5D Mark II, but the overall range is very close). The original 5D still holds up well 3 years after it was first introduced. As mentioned above, enable Highlight Tone Priority and the 5D Mark II matches the A900.

The R6 mark II is slightly larger and heavier than the A7 mark IV. Both cameras offer weather sealing and are built with a magnesium alloy chassis. R6 II: 138.4 × 98.4 × 88.4mm, 670g. A7 IV: 131.3 x 96.4 x 79.8mm, 658g. The Canon design is my favourite mainly because of the larger, rounder and taller grip.

Saved up for 5D Mk IV, decided on 6D Mark II instead after renting the 5D Rented the 5DMk4 and really loved it, but I can’t see how it’s worth $1500+ over the 6D Mark II. The main things people talk about include 4K video, better dynamic range, wider focus points, joystick selector, dual memory card slots.
